Needed: Way to Force TV & Radio to Focus on Issues
Fri May 02, 2008 at 10:29:29 PM PDT
Remember when Chris Mathews, on the day that Obama denounced & ended his relationship with Wright said that the matter was ended & that Wright was no longer relevant for discussion.
Yet,today,if you turned to MSNBC(except Olberman),when Obama was discussed, the topic was Wright and how the preacher made Obama unelectable. I began to watch the Abrams show Verdict on MSNBC but the program obsessed on Wright as if Obama had embraced the minister rather then condemned him. It showed the whole reel of negative diatribes. Hardball & the Gregory show also discussed the Wright situation adnausium & then why working class whites would not vote for Obama. It seemed like MSNBC was intent on creating a self fulfilling prophecy.
How can we force the main stream media to focus on real issues!
How can we deal with media turning on Obama?

I just turned to the Huffington Post & to my horror found a headline being posted that the press is turning on Obama & embracing Hillary. Then to my horror I found that Obama will be appearing on Fox & I heard Chris Matthews & Rachel Maddow saying that Hillary has become the inspirational candidate. What is happening and what can bloggers on the Daily Kos do to help turn things around?

Urge the RNC to Halt Plans to Challenge Voters!

This plea is based on an alert from The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and is taken almost verbatum:
Urge the RNC to Halt Plans to Challenge Voters
Support the Civil Rights Leaders at October 28 Press Conference.
Despite earlier requests from the civil rights community, the Republican National Committee has failed to put an end to Republican-initiated plans to aggressively target minority voters and voters with disabilities for challenges at the polls during the November 2nd general election.
